A few days were spent on the ice house in September to progress work.

A gate with a padlock means we can keep the public safe - no unsupervised tours until we have the well protected.

Sand between the bricks and pea shingle along the edges keeps the bricks together and gives a nice tidy finish

Lights along the tunnel roof, and a spot lamp to light the dome and one to light the well.  All these are fed by a mechanical delay switch by the gate.

Note all electrics are 12 volt for safety - the transformer is safely boxed up on the wall of the ice house well, out of sight and reach of the public.
